I am a Computer Scientist living in Baltimore, Maryland. I grew up in Easton, PA and went to Easton Area High School. After high school I attended UMBC here in Baltimore. This collection started when I was around 8 or 9 years old. I went to a Philadelphia Phillies game with my dad, there I got my first autographs. Later that week my Nano came over and gave me an autographed photo of Jim Ringo who was a childhood friend of his. After that I am not really sure what happened, I guess started to go to more sporting events and get more autographs. Then from there I started to send for autographs in the mail and my collection really started to boom.

Simply, No. I have paid to go to sporting events to get autographs, and I used to pay for postage to send out requests. I have also received autographs for gifts. I also have traded people for autographs, but never paid for one. Also, since I graduated High School in 2003, I have really slowed down the collection only getting a few dozen items a year.

For as long as I can remeber my best friend growing up, Marc Winter, was the only person who could remeber every autograph I had (and where I kept it). So I thought it was about time to catalog my collection to see what I had collected over the years.
